The children's choir of a public school in Staten Island delivered a truly moving performance of Martina Mc Bride's song I'm Gonna Love You Through It - a song which details a loved one's struggle with the heartbreaking disease.
Sitting in the school's bleachers, Adriana Lopez listened to a song which promised her love and support as she battles the disease.
Dabbing at her eyes, the teacher struggled to hold back tears as her students held flowers and gave a performance which struck a note with thousands of YouTube users.
Having amassed over 150,000 hits since its upload yesterday, the video has been met with an outpouring of emotion from the wider public, with one viewer writing:"This made me cry so hard. I will keep her in my prayers. This is one of the sweetest and saddest videos I have ever watched. So beautiful! Thank you for posting!"
A sobbing Adriana composed her at the end of the performance before offering her profuse thanks to all those involved in creating the special moment.
