This kid certainly knows what’s what!
Perfectly highlighting the ridiculous nature of how children’s clothes are gendered, in a video Shared on Viral Thread this young girl expresses her frustration at what society seemed to expect from her.
In the video she is incredulous about a selection of girl’s t-shirts that said, “Hey beautiful” and “I feel fabulous” compared to the boy's that said, “Desert adventure awaits” and “Think outside the box”.
So is it any wonder she’s thinking, hold on here, what’s going on?
“It’s unfair,” she says, “because everyone think that girls should just be pretty and boys should just be adventurous.
“I think that’s wrong because why should boys and girls clothes even be separated? Because we’re just as good as each other.”
This girl is just one example of many young females who don't appreciate society’s narrow views on what they should be like. She’s outraged, and she has every right to be.
“Boys get ‘think outside the box’ which means be adventurous, go for your dreams,” she says angrily. “And girls get ‘hey’. What does that mean? What does that inspire you to do?”
And aptly, in the video she’s wearing her Taekwondo uniform, perfectly showing why the slogans on these t-shirts are so ridiculous.
