Gringo and Les Misérables actor David Oyelowo will lend his voice to the tiger.

Clara Ross will play Sophie and comedian Paul Whitehouse will play the Milkman.

He couldn’t help but gush about the author, who died at the age of 95 in May, “She was an incredible inspiration – her work is so brilliant. The book is a thing of beauty – there isn’t a word out of place, the illustrations are just gorgeous. I really wanted to be a part of it and I was chuffed that she wanted me to narrate.”

The animation, which will run for half an hour, is set to air around Christmas 2019.

We’re sure many families will gather round and tune into see this classic story unfold on screen this winter.
