Making mistakes is all part of growing up. We all make them and we can all learn from them.

But one little girl decided to make something seriously positive out of her hard work at her school in the UK.

Every time little Summer made a mistake in her schoolwork, her teacher put a coloured Post-it note on the page to show her the corrections and what she had to redo.

If she got the corrections done quickly, she was allowed to tear off the strip of coloured paper and add it to make her beautiful flower.

Over the school year, she managed to build it up by learning from her mistake and creating this colourful rose.

She presented the flower to her mum, Sonya who posted it on Facebook saying how proud she is of her daughter and all she has learnt.

"She's tried so hard this year! She turned something difficult into something beautiful"

What a wonderfully clever way of viewing how well she improved over the school year.

We think it is a super idea. Well done Summer!
