The twelfth contestant joining Strictly Come Dancing has been revealed

Strictly Come Dancing are announcing their 2019 cast at lightning speed this year. The show has already revealed 12 of the 15 contestants and the lineup is pretty incredible so far.

The latest additions include Paralympian Will Bayley, CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual and Rupaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.

This morning, the show confirmed that former footballer Alex Scott will be joining the show.

Alex commented: “I am absolutely buzzing to be signed up to Strictly. It’s the show I’ve always wanted to do and I can’t believe I’m finally going to be part of it. I’m super excited, but also terrified at the same time… The football pitch is a bit less glam than the ballroom, but I’m ready to try the sequins and dresses! Bring it on!”

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing will also be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The businessman said he cannot wait to be part of the show.

"I am beyond thrilled to be asked to be on Strictly, the only person potentially more thrilled is my mother. I have finally become the son she hoped for!”

Footballer David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, actress Emma Barton, YouTube star Saffron Barker, Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley, BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell and Viscountess Emma Weymouth complete the lineup.

There are only three more names to be revealed this week and we can’t wait to find out who they will be.

Here’s hoping Strictly announce some major stars later in the week.
