For less than a price of a takeaway coffee, your little one could lose themselves in a world of imagination with the help of these awesome reads.

Thanks to World Book Day and a number of authors and illustrators, children can purchase specially penned books for just  £1 (or free with a World Book Day voucher), making them accessible to everyone.

This year's stellar line-up of authors and illustrators include Tom Fletcher, Julian Clary, Pamela Butchart and Andy Griffiths to name a few. And in addition to these new titles, there will also be releases from Marvel’s The Avengers, Mr Men and Paddington. The £1 World Book Day book tokens are available to all schoolchildren in the UK and Ireland.

The ‘Share a Story’ theme of this year’s campaign intends to mobilise the nation to ‘TAKE 10’ and recognise the positive impact that reading together for only 10 minutes a day can have on a child’s outcome.

All of the titles chosen offer a message of inclusivity, through the authors, illustrations, stories and a wide assortment of characters, enabling young readers to see the world in which they live reflected between the pages.
