We're all different. But some kids are visibly different.

These are the kids who are the subject of an eye-opening new photo project that begs us to change the way we see differences, and instead of perceiving them as negative, realise they are what make them special.

Rick Guidotti’s aptly-named Positive Exposure project captures kids with visible genetic conditions, things they can’t hide from others as they go through life.

And Rick doesn’t want them to hide their differences. Rather, his stunning, raw images are celebrations of “the spirit of difference.”

And through these stunning photographs, we see beauty. Here are our favourites...

Lily

Lily has Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, which affects facial development. It also delays growth and development.

However, it doesn't mean she's not happy.

According to Rick, Lily loves being around people, and just like other kids, she enjoys swinging and being outside. Adorably, her favourite thing in the world is her dadd's beard!

Billy

Billy has Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that results in extra long fingers, arms and legs.

But as you can see, Billy is making the most of his lengthy limbs. In fact, he's quite the swimmer!

Pauline

Pauline has Goldenhar Syndrome. This causes incomplete development of certain facial features.

Still, this little one's obvious beauty is crystal clear through Rick's lens.

Sarah

Sarah has Sturge-Weber Syndrome, a congenital disorder of unknown cause which is characterised by facial birthmarks and neurological abnormalities.

But it's safe to say that Sarah lives life to the full - she's a bit of an adrenaline junkie and loves motorcross racing!

Simone

Simone has Down Syndrome, which is caused by a chromosomal anomaly.

But many kids with the condition go on to live rather full lives. As we can see from his lively, expressive face, Simone is one of them...

Tatyana

Tatyana lives with Congenital Melanocytic Nevus Syndrome, a skin condition characterised by a dark, non-cancerous skin patch present from birth or soon after.

While it's not life-threatening, it can affect the self-esteem of those with the condition. But Tatyana tries not to let it. The beautiful teen is like any other girl her age - she has a passion for fashion and shopping, and loves to sing, act and dance. She's even attending New York's Repertory Cmpany for Theatre Arts!

SHARE if you found these kids simply gorgeous!
