Usually when you’re using flour in the kitchen, it’s for baking and not cleaning.

But you'd be amazed at how well a simple sprinkle of baking flour can work in leaving your kitchen looking sparkling and clean.

This simple and cheap flour hack is a great way to finish up a deep clean in the kitchen.

1. Clean your sink with a paste of baking soda and warm water, using the abrasive side of a sponge.

2. Dry the sink out completely and shake in some flour - around ¼ cup or 30g.

3. Buff your sink with a soft cloth rag and keep at it until your sink is glistening.

4. Wipe out leftover flour with your towel and shake into your compost or household bin.

5. Although it might not be as practical on small appliances, this tip still works great. Just make sure to use smaller amounts of flour and use a small brush to get the flour back out of tiny crevices.
