Garrett Lowry is just like most boys in Denver in that he loves baseball.

But when he’s not busy out on the field, he has an unusual hobby – one that is helping sick children in his local area. The kind-hearted youngster knits caps for sick children.

“Some people say it’s unusual, but it’s just a part of my life,” Garrett told KU SA-TV.

It all began as a simple class project with the goal of making 15 caps, but Garrett didn’t want to stop there.

He enlisted the help of his mum and grandma to make some more – 50, to be exact!

Once they were all complete, he delivered them to the kids at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

“Going through that kind of thing might scare people, and I just want to make something that can make them more comfortable while they are in the hospital,” Garrett said.

“I want children to feel better about themselves. And feel that they are appreciated and that they’re loved.”

What an amazing little boy, and he's not planning to stop any time soon!
