Bringing more than one child into this world, means you have to make sure the older kids know they're not being replaced.
Once the baby comes along the kids will jump on board, however, it can be an emotionally taxing period of adjustment for them too.
More often than not though, the feelings they experience come from not really understanding what is happening, and they can't grasp why you're not there to meet their every need.
So, when Bryce Wilson's mum was admitted to hospital to bring her little girl into the world, Bryce wasn't having any of it.
The four-year-old didn't fully understand why his mum needed to be in the hospital, having a meltdown and begging her to come home.
In a cute video uploaded to Mum's Instagram, Bryce can be clearly seen pleading with his mum to leave the hospital because he needs her.
The tot cries: "We need you. We need you to stay alive and we don’t want nothing to happen to you."
Bryce has clearly been watching TV as he thinks there is something wrong with the mum, but when Mama explains she is in hospital so they can see his little sister, he has kind of grasped the idea, but still needs her to know he wants her home.
Completely worked up that his mum is not going to be at home, the toddler goes on to vent: "We need you because we need our mama. We need you. We need you to stay alive, and we don’t want nothing to happen to you."
And when his mum suggests that he'll be OK because he has his dad and brothers at home, Bryce makes his feelings very, very clear: "I don’t need no brothers and no dad. I need you!"
Isn't this just the cutest? We bet Bryce is going to make the best big brother and will be so excited to have his mum and new baby sister home.
