Top Ten Cartoon Characters for Costumes

Everyone loves the Simpsons and they are really easy to recreate. Simply paint your child’s face yellow, dress them in a long sleeved yellow top and yellow leggings – this is the Simpson signature skin colour. Put an orange t-shirt  and blue shorts over the yellow ‘skin’. If you can, make yellow spiky hair by creating a crown like shape and painting it yellow. 
 
Perry from Phineas and Ferb
Everybody loves special agent Perry from the hit show. All you need to ensure your child looks every inch the green platypus are green trousers, a green jumper and a green hat. Paint your child’s face green and either buy or make a beak. Pop on an agent style hat to finish the look. 
 
Scooby Doo
This is a great costume for Scooby Doo Fans. A brown onesie will ensure you can create the costume in record time. Sew numerous black spots onto the back and pin floppy dog ears made out of spare fabric onto the hood. To finish off the outfit get your child to hold a box of Scooby Snacks. 
 
Spongebob Square Pants
Spongebob Square Pants is a very popular Halloween costume due to its easiness to create. Simply paint the character onto a large box, making sure the box is big enough to cover the top half of your child and light enough to sit on their shoulders. Paint your child’s face yellow so that it will blend in with the yellow box. Finish the outfit off with long white socks and brown shoes if you have them to hand.
 
Mickey Mouse
Or Minnie Mouse, whichever your little one prefers. This costume is easily to recreate, to make Mickey all you need is a black fancy jacket and a white shirt while Minnie just requires a pink spotty dress. Don’t forget the big black ears. 
 
Cinderella
This a lovely costume that is very easy to make. Dress your child in their best blue dress and put on shoes with a little heel. Finish the look off with a crown. Perfect for the little princess in your life.
 
Spiderman
Dress your child in a blue top and blue trousers, make sure they are old as you will need to paint the red web-like design onto the clothes. Cut two eye holes into a red cotton hat and pull it down over your childs face- this is spiderman's mask. 
 
Batman
Most little boys have a batman costume in their wardrobes. If not all you need is to dress them in all black, pin or glue the batman sign onto the front of the top and  make a cape out of black fabric or a black bag. Paint the mask on and you have batman.
 
Bugs Bunny
This is a great costume for animal fans. Dress your child in a grey and white onesie and paint whiskers onto their face. Make large floppy rabbit ears out of felt and sew the ears onto the hood. To finish the look give them a carrot to chew on. 
 
Wheres Wally?
This is a really easy costume to create. Dress your child in blue trousers and a red and white stripy jumper. Complete the look with large black glasses and a red cotton hat
