Toys ‘R Us have been forced to pull a line of Breaking Bad toys from their shelves, after a petition to remove them from their stores gained mass support from concerned parents.

Florida mum Susan Myers was horrified when she came across the line of character dolls, complete with detachable cash sack and bag of crystal meth, and launched an online petition calling for the toy company to cease selling the dolls.

Ms Myers called on parents to lend their support to her campaign, saying: “Parents and grandparents around the world shop at Toys ‘R Us, online and in stores, with their children and should not be forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs”.

The retailer heard the shock and disgust of its customers loud and clear, and has since announced that it will be pulling the collection from its shelves and online store.

According to reports, a Toys ‘R Us rep said – in a reference to a famous line from Breaking Bad: “Let’s just say, the action figures have taken an ‘indefinite sabbatical’”.

One person who does not seem to be in support of the recall is Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, who took to Twitter to express his anger.

The actor wrote: “’Florida mom petitions against Toys ‘R Us over Breaking Bad action figures.’ I’m so mad, I’m burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest.”
