Jeffrey Agan Sr., and Lorrie Agan, from Ohio were married for 25 years.

When they first got married in 1989, they were too poor to afford a reception, so they got married in an electronics shop.

Eight kids later, they found they were fighting a lot, they separated and eventually divorced in 2014.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, their 21-year-old son, Jeffrey Agan Jnr., said that the divorce was difficult for the whole family:

"They fought, separated, divorced, and it tore the family apart. Each of us felt like we had to cope with the destruction in different ways, and on our own."

But after years of soul-searching and counselling, Jeffery Snr and Lorrie started taking again. And then they started dating again.

Just before Christmas Jeffrey Sr. rallied the family together to present their mother with a special gift.  Lorrie open the present to find a framed poem with a poem he had written.

She read it a loud and not expecting what happened next:

"True love always come back around", she looks up to see him on one knee, proposing for the second time!

"No one knew Dad had planned the proposal, and the detail and love he put into it," Jeffrey Jr. said, "but I read the situation quickly as it was happening, and I pulled out my phone and caught a great recording!"

The children are planning on throwing their parents a dream wedding, to thank them for everything they've done for them over the years:

"Things were hard, tight, and tough for us as a family, but we never went hungry and they’ve spent so much time trying to dig us out of the dirt. They’ve invested in our success and our futures at the expense of their own wants and needs."

Since the video has been viewed over 10,000 times Jeffery Jnr., had set up a Gofundme page for touched viewers to contribute towards the cost of the marriage.

"My family is all very happy and overwhelmed with love right now," Jeffrey Jr. said. "A family torn apart made whole again!"

Just the reactions themselves are enough to want to make us jump for joy for these two love birds, with others sharing their own stories of lovers reunions:

True love always wins!
