Former Coronation Street star, Helen Flanagan, has opened up about the less-than-enjoyable side effects of pregnancy in a recent interview with OK! magazine.

The beautiful brunette, who announced in December that she was three months pregnant, reveals that the journey hasn't been plain sailing so far, but she's doing her best to stay positive.

Commenting on her experience of impending motherhood, the 24-year-old actress said: "I couldn't get out of bed some days because I was throwing up so much."

The morning sickness played a big part in the first few weeks of Helen's pregnancy, with the star revealing: "At the most I'd be sick five times a day."

Despite this, the former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant is over the moon about welcoming a child into the life she shares with footballer Scott Sinclair, saying: "A mum really is everything I've genuinely wanted to be. I'm so, so happy. I can't wait to have my baby."

Helen, who is due her little one in June of this year, thinks it was a natural progression in her relationship with the 25-year-old Manchester City player, saying: "We both feel ready to be parents now and we're both over the moon to be sharing our first much-longed for child together."

We're delighted for the happy couple and wish Helen all the best with the rest of her journey.
