Star of Beverly Hills, 90210 and its modern spinoff, Tori Spelling nearly lost her life while pregnant with her fourth child.

Diagnosed with placenta previa – a condition which causes massive internal bleeding – Tori was hospitalised for 10 weeks and spent four months on bed rest. Amazingly, after nine life-threatening bleeds, baby Finn was born safely.

As Finn turns two, Tori has revealed that the trauma of her difficult pregnancy has created a unique bond.

“Finn and I have an unbelievable bond that no one will ever understand. Perhaps it’s because we shared an extremely difficult and scary pregnancy together. We lay in anxious stillness for months,” Tori wrote.

“I rubbed my belly constantly and communicated with the unborn baby. I was determined to deliver safely into this world. When he was born I whispered into his tiny ear, “We made it!” And we had.”

The complications with her final pregnancy were possibly caused by the quick conception after her third child Hattie. Tori and her husband Dean McDermott conceived just one month after Hattie was born.

Hattie is just 10 months older than Finn, and will turn three in October. The couple also have two older children, Liam, who is seven years old and Stella, age six.

Tori says she has finished having children, and the Finn was the perfect way to complete the family.

“In Italian his name is Fin which means… The end. And, that makes me realize that my family is complete. Finn indeed is my last. He will forever be my baby.”
