Olympic gold medal winner Chris Hoy and his wife Sarra are overjoyed to be seeing an improvement in their son Callum who was born eleven weeks premature in October last year.

Weighing just two lbs at his birth, Callum has tripled in weight since his arrival last year!

Now weighing a healthy 7 lbs, Callum has finally reached the weight of a typical newborn and his parents are understandably delighted with his progress.

Proud dad Chris has no doubt that his son will continue to thrive, saying: "He is only three months old but he's getting there. He's a Hoy, so he won't struggle putting on weight."

The dad-of-one has updated fans and followers on Callum's progress since his arrival and continues to praise his little boy for his bravery.

The six-time gold medallist has retired from professional cycling, but praises athletes who can combine parenthood with professional sports saying: "The very nature of a professional athlete is that you have to put yourself first. When you have a baby, you put them first. So I have no idea how they do it."

We're so happy to hear that Callum is doing so well!
