Ever wondered what kind of parent you really are? Are you strict, encouraging, frazzled?
Well maybe the answer is written in the stars, or more specifically, your stars.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
The Aquarius parent is the hipster parent. They love nothing more than a good intellectual conversation and delight when their kiddos express themselves creatively. If your kid is passionate about something you bet it's the Aquarius parent that cheering in the front row.
While they love seeing others around them succeed and grow, the Aquarius hates being disagreed with. So when it comes to handling a moody tween they can get flustered- but they'll always have their child's best interests at heart.
Pisces (February 19- March 20)
Did you ever meet a mum that seems to have eyes in the back of her head? Chances are she's probably a Pisces! Unfailingly intuitive the Pisces mum values being open and communicative- there's no way childhood fibs are getting past this mama!
Pisces are also fiercely loyal and will do anything to protect their little one. Sometimes though they need to let the kids make their own mistakes and learn from them.
Aries (March 19- April 20)
Aries is the mum that seems to multi-task effortlessly. She can bounce a baby, supervise homework, cook a mean spag bol AND hold up a business call at the same time. They seem to have constant energy and are never afraid to volunteer for the PTA or soccer coaching.
The sign of the goat, the Aries parent is stubborn, in fairness that's how they get so much done in a day!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Taurus loves spending time around kids. This is the mum that places loads of emphasis on family traditions- miss one of their Sunday roasts at your own peril! A Taurus loves spending time as a family unit and is extremely patient.
However, their patience could be mistaken for lenience and it take a lot for a Taurus to lose their temper, no matter how big the tantrum.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
The impulsive, fun-loving mum, they love taking their kids out to the park or museum. A great talker and an even better listener, your kids will have no problem coming to you with any problems they may have.
However, Gemini's tend to be anxious in nature, often seeing the danger in every situation, whether real or not.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The cancer mum finds the magic in every moment- from baby's first haircut, to graduation pictures, the cancer mum will have all of the mementos stored and saved in a scrapbook. Deeply caring parents they want to be included in every part of their child's life- and may find it difficult to step back when needed.
Leo (July 23- August 22)
Just like a fierce lioness, Leo mums take massive pride in every gold star and student of the month certificate. They like any excuse to splash out and never thinks twice about spoiling their little ones.
Proud Leos hate admitting when they've made a mistakes, but are always looking at ways to improve themselves or their family's lot.
Virgo (August 23- September 22)
Expect a Virgo's house to be clean to the point of sterile. They dole out responsibility in the form of chores but like to encourage critical thinking and place value in their kids opinions.
The sign of logic, it can sometimes be difficult for a Virgo to express themselves emotionally- a challenge if raising a child born under a more sensitive sign.
Libra (September 23- October 22)
Libras are all about balance. The Libra mum will always be a fair referee, no matter who started it. They appreciate physical beauty so god forbid is one of their kids leave the house with dirt on their face or hair undone.
They hate confrontation, so if their kids is having a meltdown in a supermarket they will do anything to diffuse the situation- even if it means buying the chocolate.
Scorpio (October 23- November 22)
As a Scorpio mum, you love nothing more than keeping your kids occupied. 'Lie-in' is not part of a Scorpio mums vocabulary, she strives to create a balanced life for the kiddies.
An emotional sign, she gets hurt easily, but refuses to show it.
Sagittarius (November 23- December 21)
Taking the kids out of school to go camping? You're definitely a Sagittarius mum! They love to grab life with both hands and pass this on to their kids- education is found everywhere, not just in the classroom.
Rebellious by nature, they can be the 'friend-mum', often instilling a distrust of authority in their kids.
Capricorn (December 22- January 21)
Capricorns taking parenting very seriously indeed. Their kids will be taking french lessons by three and clarinet by four. They're uncompromising in wanting the best for their kids and sometimes need to remember to leave some free play!
