Brian Jones was shopping in an Ohio Kmart recently when he spotted an elderly lady in trouble.

Her wheelchair was stuck on the security alarms and she was unable to get around it.

Brian went over to help the woman get her wheelchair unstuck, and the woman was delighted with his help.

But he didn’t stop there, as his proud fiancée Heather Romine wrote on Love What Matters’ Facebook page. He even helped her do her shopping, pushing her up and down the aisles as she picked out her groceries.

And then he truly went beyond the call of duty – be paid the woman’s entire grocery bill!

“He’s setting such an amazing example for our children and trying to make a difference in the people around him,” Heather wrote.

“He’s genuine and sincere in his actions and I couldn’t be more thankful to call him mine.”

The heartwarming story quickly went viral, accumulating a staggering 26,000 likes and nearly 2,000 shares, as well as tonnes of supportive comments.

“What a wonderful thing to do. So many people would have just walked past that woman and never looked back,” wrote Georgia Jones beneath the post.

“Good to her a happy story for a change,” wrote Jeanie Dupree.

Well done, Brian. Your kids must be very proud.
