We all know the struggle involved in keeping our homes tidy with kids running around...it's near IMPOSSIBLE.

The Son And The Moon, a blog about parenting by mum-of-one Abbey Michelle, recently posted a video that perfectly depicts the way we all feel when the house is a mess.

This is the story of how i was woken up this morning... It was approximately 6am and the book I am holding was thrown, at what I understand from the impact, to be very close range to my face. I was then forced to sit up and read said book immediately to prevent what was apparently a tantrum about to blow! He is very happy now looking at pictures of teddy bears eating "kiik" (cake). In truth, the book-in-face tactic is not my favorite way to be woken up, but the cuddles are nice. P.s. I literally tried every filter available, but nothing made me look better so just going with the all natural look of death-warmed-up!! Sorry! #sotired #twomorehours #sleep #nosleep #tooearly #toddler #toddlerdemands #parentalinjuries #mumproblems #mumlife

The short video opens with the statement "Ask a parent of a toddler why the house is always a state."

This is followed by a number of fantastic snippets into the chaotic life of Abbey and her young son.

After a day of playing and having LOADS of fun, we see the mum-and-son duo flaked out in their living room, un-bothered by the mess that surrounds them.

Abbey then makes the decision to start cleaning up...

She tidies everything away, knowing that the exact same thing will happen again in no time, and she will be faced with yet another clean up.

But at the end of the day, it's all just part of the glorious ride that is motherhood.
