It’s an important milestone in every new parent’s life so Kate and Will are bound to be gutted that they missed the moment their son crawled for the first time.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reported to have been on holiday at a five-star hotel in the Maldives when Prince George had his first crawl around.

The eight-month-old Prince was staying with his maternal grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton, in Bucklebury, Berkshire at the time.

Kate and Will aren’t taking any more chances and are bringing Prince George with them on their first royal tour as a trio to New Zealand, starting on April 16th.

The family will be joined by their new nanny, Spanish Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who is sure to be on hand for any crawling mishaps.
