Congratulations are in order today for legendary singer Billy Joel, who has welcomed a daughter with his wife, Alexis Roderick.
The couple, who tied the knot during their annual Independence Day party last month, became parents to Della Rose in the early hours of this morning.
A representative for the Piano Man singer confirmed the news to People, revealing that little Della Rose was born in New York, weighing in at 7lbs 6oz.
Commenting on the amazing news, the rep said: “Billy is thrilled to become a dad again.”
While this is the first child for Billy and Alexis, the singer is already father to 29-year-old Alexa Ray; his daughter from his marriage to Christie Brinkley.
Billy and Alexis’ wonderful news was announced back in April by his rep.
“Billy Joel and his girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, are expecting their first child this summer. The couple, together since 2009, opted to keep any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut,” he said at the time.
