She has found herself at the centre of the media spotlight for all of the wrong reasons over the past number of weeks, but today this star had a defiant response for her critics.

A day after her 17-year-old daughter was found, having been missing for a week, presenter and comedienne Rosie O’Donnell has insisted that there is no such thing as a ‘perfect’ parent.

Rosie had taken to social media for help in locating daughter Chelsea, with the star eventually confirming yesterday morning that the teen had been located. Since the story made headlines around the world, it has emerged that Chelsea was found in the home of an alleged heroin addict that she reportedly met on dating site Tinder.

In a rather cruel move, a Twitter user tagged O’Donnell in a post which linked back to a news article about the incident, questioning her parenting capabilities – but Rosie would not take the apparent dig lying down.

The star, who recently found herself at the centre of a custody battle with ex-wife Michelle Rounds, took a dignified stance as she replied: “No mom is perfect – we all do our best.”

While Rosie didn’t get into the details of Chelsea’s disappearance, she took to social media yesterday to confirm that her daughter was found safe and well, and to thank all those who helped in the search.
