A photographer has moved the hearts of people all over the world after capturing a tender moment between a newborn baby boy and his mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer halfway through her pregnancy.
Kate Murray photographed the first-time mum breastfeeding her little boy with her remaining breast, having undergone a single mastectomy.
In the incredibly powerful images, the emotional mum cannot hold back the tears as her little one latches on.
Photographer Kate revealed how the new mum was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer during her pregnancy, and underwent chemotherapy before being induced at 36 weeks.
Posting the amazing photos to her Facebook page, Kate wrote: “This is the definition of strength, love, and pure raw beauty.”
Opening up on witnessing the incredible moment, she added: “Baby boy was born ready to prove to the world his strength he inherited from his strong mommy. He latched on to her remaining breast all on his own and the room erupted in so many emotions.”
Needless to say, the images have moved social media users deeply, with responses ranging from ‘beautiful’ to ‘breathtaking’.
