Being overdue is uncomfortable, exhausting, frustrating and can make you feel like you’ve been pregnant for forever.

So, if your due date has come and gone but still no baby, try to distract yourself with these 11 things to do:

Read more baby names books
You never know, you may find a really cool and unique one that you prefer much more.

Relax
Take the time to relax - you won’t have much free time once baby finally decides to make an appearance.

Get your hair done
Treat yourself, you deserve it. And while you’re there why not get your nails done too.

Watch lots of telly and movies
Put up your feet and watch a marathon of your favourite programmes or have a movie night. You may as well enjoy alone time while you can.

Chill out with friends
While you may not want to leave the house for fear of labour starting, getting out with friends can be a great distraction.

Don’t stress over it
Make sure you don’t stress over baby not arriving yet. Some just like the comfort of your womb.

Get baby stuff ready
You probably already have the baby’s room organised by now, but have another look to ensure you have everything. Double check the number of nappies you have, remember you can never have too many. Same goes for vests and baby grows.

Do nothing
Do absolutely nothing: no washing, no cleaning, no ironing or dusting. Simply grab a cup of tea and bask in the fact that this is probably the last time, for a long time at least, that you can do absolutely nothing.

Go over the hospital route again
You can never be too prepared for the rush to the hospital. Have a few routes mapped out in case of traffic jams or road works.

Go on a date with your other half
Take the time to go out with your other half. It will never be just the two of you again so enjoy it.

Double check your due date
What is taking baby so long?

Going beyond your due date is common for expectant mothers, so relax in the knowledge that you are not alone.
