A toddler is today fighting for her life after being discovered with serious head injuries.
Police were called to a house in the Cheetham Hill areaa of Manchester yesterday at around 7pm and subsequently the girl was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The incident is believed to have happened in an end terrace last night. Paramedics went into the house to treat the girl

The Manchester Evening News reports that the child is in a critical condition.
A man and woman in their 30s have now both been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A police spokesman revealed: "We were alerted by the North West Ambulance Service at 7pm on Wednesday that a two-year-old girl from Rochdale had been taken to hospital with serious head injuries. She remains in a critical condition.
'I'm a single mum and it hurts me to hear a girl that age has been hurt. I really hope she's OK,' another householder tells me

"A 34-year-old man from Manchester has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Officers have also arrested a woman, 37, on suspicion of assault."
