Some stories just hit us right in the feels and renew our hope in miracles time and time again, and that of L.M. Macphee is one such tale.
This woman submitted one of the most beautiful stories that we have ever heard to the Love What Matters Facebook page this week, and it has touched hearts all over the world.
In the post, she explains how, 11 years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was just 27 at the time.
Naturally, doctors informed her that her impending treatment might affect her fertility and, sure enough, she and her partner had much heartbreak ahead of them.
“After years of trying, natural cycle fertility and many tears, heartaches and sorrow, we were told I was slipping in and out of menopause and would not be able to have children. Heartbroken, devastated and feeling complete and utter loss, we moved back home to NS to be near my family. We went for our first information session for adoption,” she recalls.
However, at the age of 36, something incredible happened. After coming over ill, she instinctively purchased a pregnancy test – and was amazed when it showed up ‘positive’. She was expecting her ‘miracle baby’.
“I couldn't wait to tell my family, especially my brother who did not believe we could not have kids,” she adds, sharing a stunning video of his epic reaction to her news.
Now 14 months old, the little tot is described as this proud mum’s ‘world’.
