Following the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl from Edinburgh, police have this morning revealed that a body has been found.

While the family of Jasmine Macquaker have been informed of the discovery, police have stressed that formal identification have yet to be carried out.

It is understood that Jasmine was last seen at Dalmeny railway station near the Forth Bridge on Sunday at approximately 8.15pm.

According to emerging reports, a body was found by a member of the public on the coastline at North Queensferry at 7am this morning.

Currently, the death is being treated as unexplained.
