Police have today issued an appeal to the public for information on the whereabouts of Michaela Oberhorner, a mother who has been reported missing this week.

The 47-year-old German national is reported to have been last seen on Wednesday, January 13, when she left her two kids with a friend while she ‘popped to the bank’. Concern for Michaela grew when she failed to return however, and she has not been seen since that day.

Having also failed to turn up at work for the past two days, police in Walthamstow were contacted and are now looking for clues as to where Ms Oberhorner could be,

Ms Oberhorner, who has no known partner or family in the UK, was last spotted outside Woodside Primary Academy in Walthamstow, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Anyone with any information they believe could help in the search for Ms Oberhorner is asked to get in touch with Waltham Forest CID on 101. Alternatively, you can call or text Missing People on 116 000.

Our thoughts are with Ms Oberhorner’s children and family at this time, and we are praying for her safe return home. We will keep you updated as more information emerges.
