At 7:45am this morning, a coach carrying 13 children collided with a lorry head-on, leaving the bus driver dead and several children injured, the BBC reports.
The crash happened on the B979 South Deeside Road near the Maryculter Bridge, about eight miles south of Aberdeen.
13 students from the Lathallan School were onboard the bus, but thankfully Police Scotland confirmed that none of their injuries were serious.
The bus driver who sadly died at the scene has not been identified.
The drivers of the IAF lorry and the red Audi A4 were both taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Inspector Neil Harrison said to the BBC, "The 13 children on the coach were not seriously injured. They have been reunited with their parents.
"Any collision of this nature is traumatic and our thoughts are with those involved."
He cautioned people about the road surface conditions in this weather.
A spokesperson for the Lathallan School told the BBC that they were in touch with parents and the students were offered counselling.
