Celebrity pregnancies past 40

Halle Berry announced recently that she is expecting her second baby at the age of 46. The actress and fiancé Olivier Martinez, 47, are expecting their first child together. She also has a daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry. Berry spoke to CNN about her pregnancy saying “I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth. I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful”.

Kelly Preston, wife to John Travolta, announced she was expecting her third child at age 47! Kelly gave birth to a healthy baby boy in November 2011. The news of her pregnancy came just over a year after the tragic death of their 16-year-old son Jett.

Celine had her twin boys Eddy and Nelson when she was 42 with husband Rene Angeli. The couple, who already had a 10 year old boy at the time, finally conceived after five failed IVF attempts and a miscarriage.

The pop star and her husband Nick Cannon had twins in April 2011 - Morrocan and Monroe. Mariah was 40 at the time. Six months after the birth, Nick and Mariah talked to Barbara Walters about the challenges they faced getting pregnant. Mariah told Barbara she suffered a miscarriage and had to undergo fertility treatment in order to conceive.

Nicole was 40 when she gave birth to her first biological child, who she named Sunday Rose. Nicole and husband Keith Urban have since had another daughter, Faith Margaret, who was delivered via surrogate. Nicole also has two adopted children from her marriage with Tom Cruise.

Uma had her daughter at the age of 42 with long term partner financier Arpad Busson. They gave their daughter the unusual name Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. Uma already had two children with ex-husband Ethan Hawke.
