'A Thousand Miles' singer opens up about ectopic pregnancy
07/11/2013 10:12

Vanessa Carlton, well known for her song A Thousand Miles, has opened up about her recent ectopic pregnancy.

The musician announced last month that she was expecting her first baby with fiancé John McCauley, but a week later she was diagnosed with having a fallopian pregnancy.

As Vanessa explains on her website: “This is not considered a viable pregnancy because the foetus cannot develop and it is a high risk situation for the mother because of the potential for tubal rupture and internal bleeding.”

Due to complications, the singer had to have one of her fallopian tubes removed, but happily her other tube and ovaries are healthy so she will still be able to have children.

The 33-year-old thanked all her fans for their support and says she is “ready to get back out there mentally”.

Andy Murray says mum is a distraction at games
08/11/2013 10:47

Mums are meant to support their children and be excited at their important games, but not to the point of distraction, which is what Andy Murray’s mum was doing during the Wimbledon final in July of this year.

The tennis star was the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years, but revealed that he would prefer if his mother didn’t go to his matches because she is a huge distraction, particularly after points.

Talking about the match in July, he said: “In that game, I’d lose a match point and she would sort of stand up rigid, sort of saying, "It’s ok, it’s ok" but I’m looking at her thinking, “I can tell in your face, you’re thinking it’s not ok.”

It is not surprising the proud mum gets so into the games, after giving him his first racket at the tender age of two, she coached him until he was 11 and has been supporting him all around the world ever since.

Lewis Hamilton agrees to start a family with Nicole if they get back together
08/11/2013 10:54
Lewis Hamilton is so desperate to get back with Nicole Scherzinger that he has reportedly promised that they can start a family together.

One of the reasons the couple split, according to reports, is because  Lewis didn’t want kids right away while Nicole does, but the F1 driver has said that if Nicole gives their relationship another go and they are still together in six months he has agreed to try for a baby.

Both have admitted they are heartbroken by the split, Nicole said the break up “sucked” and 28-year-old Lewis often took to Twitter to express how much he missed her.
