We are always talking about the importance of help and compassion among parents, and this was on full display in a home in the UK yesterday.
A group of good Samaritans rallied together yesterday, out of the goodness of their hearts, to clean the home of a mother and her infant son who has just come out of hospital following ‘major heart surgery’.
Mummy’s Gin Fund, a local and parenting organisation, took to their social media channels to share a photo of the tot and appeal for followers to come and lend a helping hand at the house.

“Need volunteer cleaners for mum in need. Tiny baby in hospital after major heart surgery, just moved house and it’s filthy,” read the initial tweet, including the heart-warming hashtag ‘no mum left behind’.
The community rallied together and cleaned it from top to bottom - with a professional service even coming in to clean the carpets for free - with photos of the excellent work being shared across social media.
“The very definition of Women’s Day. Group of mums cleaning a stranger’s house so Baby can come home from hospital,” read a follow-up tweet.

As you can imagine, the updates and photos have really struck a chord with the online community, and the group has come in for great praise today.
Well done to all who helped to pull off this kind gesture.
