Dog lovers stand up, because you KNOW this is something you would do.

A dog loving couple has hit the headlines for building a giant bed to accommodate their eight rescue dogs.

Chris and Mariesa Hughes were trying to find a solution to sleep comfortably with their pooches, and hit on the idea to build a superbed, the likes the world has never seen.

“At nighttime all of the dogs want to sleep on the bed and sometimes it becomes too cluttered, and we end up being pushed off of the bed or sleeping on the couch,” Chris told TODAY. “So we built the megabed.”

And what a bed – it’s almost 14 feet long and seven feet wide and is crowned with a six feet tall headboard. And there’s even a set of steps for the dogs who can’t jump up onto it!

Can you imagine how magical a nap would be in a bed like this?

Mike Ford from Michael’s Custom Interiors was tasked with the build, which took six months.

“It wouldn't fit through the door in my shop,” he said.

Chris and Mariesa Hughes founded The Mr. Mo Project charity, which strives to rescue sick and elderly dogs from shelters and place them in loving homes for the remainder of their lives.

Sweetest story EVER!
