When it comes to baby announcements, the kookier and the more unique, the better!
This proved to be the case for American couple Brittany Breen and Michael Rugarber, who opted for a wine-inspired pregnancy announcement this week.
The pair are self-professed fans of The Today Show, which features a ‘Wine Wednesday’ slot with presenters Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee.
Sharing their ultrasound scan photo to Twitter, the couple added in a mock Today Show graphic reading ‘Wine Wednesday Postponed – Brittany Breen Announces Pregnancy’!

Posting the photo to the social media site, proud mum-to-be Brittany tweeted: “We are huge Today Show fans and had to include it in our pregnancy announcement!”
The timing of the reveal was also very special for the couple. As dad-to-be Michael often works away for weeks at a time as an engineer on container ships, the couple opted to share their wonderful news on his first Wednesday at home.
As you can imagine, fellow fans of the show have delighted over Brittany and Michael’s announcement, and the post is racking up the likes and shares on Facebook.
