As parents, we save so many mementoes from our children’s early years, but one tooth-related memory-keeper appears to have ruffled feathers online.
Blogger ‘Spend With Pennies’ took to her Facebook page to share an interesting find – a wooden baby tooth box – but not everyone is a fan!
What makes this box unique, is that it is shaped like a child’s head and, inside, holds a place for each tooth and even their umbilical cord!
“This is the cutest baby tooth box I have ever seen! It would make such a fun gift for new parents!” wrote Holly, of Spend With Pennies.
There was a mixed response in the comment section, however, with some parents even branding the device ‘creepy’.
“If my mum pulled that out and gave this to me when I was older, I would seriously have to think about what else she kept…a toenail box?” wrote one follower.
Elsewhere, another parent wrote: “It’s a bit sick, if you ask me.”
However, while many parents thought it was actually very ‘cute’, some were quick to point out why it might even be a clever idea.
“Baby teeth should be saved, because they have stem cells that can be used to treat future diseases,” one mother added.
