It's beginning to look a lot like...can we say it now?

*whispers* Christmas.

And we are all getting excited about the festive season and the events that come with it  - like going to see Elf the Musical on stage.

The movie, starring Will Ferel as the lovable human-who-thinks-he-is-an-elf Buddy, has quickly become a Christmas staple so what could be more perfect than a stage adaptation?

The Belfast Operatic company are bringing the Irish Premiere of ELF The Musical to Belfast Waterfront Hall in November and it is the perfect family day out.

You can join in the mishaps and mischief with Buddy the Elf on 23rd and 24th November - but for a limited engagement only as only one of three licenses hve been granted within the UK and Ireland to perform this hilarious musical comedy.

The original stage version played to record breaking audiences in 2015/2016 at London’s Dominion Theatre and firmly established this heart-warming tale of Buddy the Elf leaving Santa at the North Pole to seek his real father in New York as a Christmas classic.

Featuring a cast of local talent from Belfast to Newry, and with an award-winning production team at the helm, ELF promises festive fun for all ages, and is set to be a spectacular Christmas production.

Keith Pyper, Chairman of the company said that, ''our cast and team are working hard in rehearsals and having so much fun, its shaping up to be a great show. Fans of the movie will be pleased to know the humour is maintained, and will recognise the material, with a bit of Broadway pizzaz."

With mayhem, mischief and laughs-a-plenty, this hilarious holiday classic is packed-full of festive fun and promises to have you spreading the Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear!

The show times are 7.30pm on Friday 23rd November, 2.30pm and 7.30pm  on Saturday 24th November.
