A family has been left traumatised this weekend, after a man ‘grabbed’ a two-year-old little girl as she played in a North London playground.

According to reports, the man approached the child and grabbed her arm, before letting her go and fleeing when confronted by the child’s mother.

The incident occurred yesterday, March 18, at approximately 4:30pm in a playground close to Albany Park, in Enfield.

Police are keen to track down the suspect, who is described as a black man in his late twenties and of medium build. When the incident occurred, the man was wearing a dark Adidas hoodie, black trousers and dark shoes, and he was carrying a black bag.

Launching an appeal for information, a police representative said: “Thankfully the child was not hurt during this incident, but both her and her mother were very shaken up by the experience.”

“The motivation for the incident remains unclear, but I would ask anyone who was in the park, or knows who is responsible, to contact police,” he added.

Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with Enfield CID on 020 8345 3323.
