Most couples will treasure their wedding photos forever, but we have a feeling that Clayton and Brittany Cook will hold a very special sentimentality to theirs.

The Canadian couple have won the hearts of the internet this week, after their wedding photographer shared photos of the groom saving a child’s life during their session!

Clayton had just exchanged vows with Brittany last Friday, when he noticed a little boy struggling in the nearby pond.

He told local news outlet CTV: “His face was under water, and he was fighting – like, he was really fighting.

“Luckily, he was only a little guy…and I honestly just sort of hopped him up.”

Thankfully, Clayton was able to save the little boy in time. The tot seemed to be ‘OK’ when he was pulled out, and was led away by an older sibling.

The couple’s photographer, Darren Hatt of Hatt Photography, captured the incredible scenes, and shared them to his official Facebook page.

“A special shout-out to last night’s groom, Clayton!” he wrote, sharing pictures of the groom pushing the little boy out of the pond, and standing in the water in his suit.

“While I was taking solo pictures of the bride, this little guy was pushed into the river behind me by another child.

“By the time the bride noticed and shouted out, Clayton had already jumped down and brought him to safety.

“His quick action saved the little guy, who was struggling to swim. Well done, sir!”

As you can imagine, the amazing images garnered plenty of love across social media.

“Brilliant capture of the handsome groom. I find posed wedding photos to be boring. This is much better,” wrote one admirer.

“That would make the day all the more memorable, for both the bride and the groom. Good job!” another added.

One woman summed up the general consensus, as she chimed in with: “Thanks to you and the Mrs for making this world a better place. God bless.”

We’re sure Clayton and Brittany will treasure these photos in the years to come!
