With just 12 weeks to go, you’re in the home stretch now - kind of! Ok, you still have a few more months to go but at least you can say you are in the final trimester, something that many mums have been looking forward to saying!

Here’s how to make the most of your last three months:

Get on top of your workload

Now is the time to get on top of your workload at the office or at home. Leaving it to the week before your maternity leave is going to stress you out no end and there is no need. Whatever you have been putting off for as long as possible, now is the time to get it done and dusted. You don’t want to be doing it at a time when you really should be winding down, do you?

Get your head around the fact that you will be a mum soon

Seriously, if you are still in the whole 'I’m not really pregnant' stage, which many of us are sure to relate to, now is the time to change your mind set. You are pregnant and baby will be here very soon!

Gather as much information as possible

Talk to your mum, your midwife, your family and friends and get the low-down on what to expect for the next few weeks and after baby arrives. You will feel a whole lot better knowing what's to come and you can spend the evening giggling over funny stories, horrifying experiences and even reminisce over your own childhood with your mum.

Stay up late

Ok, you are bound to be told to rest up as much as possible, but perhaps getting used to staying up late might be a good way to go as well! Getting by on little or no sleep is going to be the way of life for the next few years, so you might as well get used to it!

Head out at the last minute

Your social life won’t be over as soon as your little one arrives, but heading out to spur of the moment events will no doubt become a thing of the past, unless you have a live in babysitter and a cooperative child! Make the most of those last minute gigs and girlie nights now.
