Coronation Street actress, Paula Lane is soon to become a mum-of-two as her daughter is due next month.
However, Paula has spoken about doing things a little differently this time around.
Paula welcomed her first child with husband, Tom Shaw in 2014 but the actress has spoken about taking more time off work for baby number two.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the Corrie actress spoke about her regrets from her first pregnancy.
“I feel like I’ve got to nurture this new baby. Arthur only had 11 weeks with me before I went back to work.
“I’ve done six years of solid work so I think I owe it to myself to have a natural break.”
Paula has been a regular on the soap since 2010 but announced in February she would be saying goodbye to cobbles.
"This has not been an easy decision for me to make. I have enjoyed every moment of my time on Coronation Street and learnt so much in the process.
"I have an amazing on-screen family who have become friends for life so this decision was not taken lightly. But sometimes you just have to follow your heart and I am excited about what the future has to offer both personally and professionally.”
However permanent her announcement sounded, Paula hasn’t dismissed the idea of a return for good saying “Kylie’s in a box” but “if anything amazing comes up I’d have to take another look at my plan!”.
But for right now it looks like being a mum to her son, Arthur and her baby girl, who should be along any time now, is the role she wants to play.
