Paloma Faith gave birth to her first child last December, but the mum has yet to share the baby’s name or gender with the public. The doting mum said she wants to keep her child out of the spotlight.

 

She shared that she will be raising her firstborn as gender-neutral because she believes that letting your kids be whoever they want to be is vital.

 

The singer spoke to The Mirror about becoming a mum and the overwhelming responsibilities that come with motherhood. She shared, “I’m loving being a mum.”

 

Paloma revealed that she cannot wait to expand her family, “I want two or three kids in all.”

 

The mum-of-one went on to share that she will raise all her children to be gender neutral.

 

“They’ll all be gender neutral”, she shared.

 

The Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer said she won’t follow old-fashioned traditions by dressing her children in stereotypical boy/girl colours.

She wants them to live freely, “I just want them to be who they want to be.”

 

Paloma revealed that she went through an excruciating difficult labour back in December. She opened up about the horrifying experience on her Instagram account.

 

The mum shared a hand-written letter which contained details about her experience.

 

She wrote, “After a difficult labour resulting in an emergency caesarean I gave birth to my first child.”

 

The Stone Cold Sober singer admitted that everything went wrong during her labour, “I had 20 hours of labour, and a premature one, and then I wasn’t dilating. The baby was in jeopardy, and so I had to have an emergency C-section.”

 

She revealed that she went through nine harrowing hours of labour without any pain relief.

She spoke to Dan Wootton of The Sun about the ‘hellish’ experience, “The only way I can explain it is that I went to the gates of hell and I brought back an angel because it is just so incredible.”

 

Despite a traumatic delivery, The New York singer said she would never change a thing because her baby is the greatest gift she could have ever asked for.

 

“I have made the best person ever”, said the proud mum.

 

Paloma took a break from the spotlight when she welcomed her tiny tot last December. She shared that becoming a mum was always a huge dream of hers, “I have spent my whole life wanting to be a mother. I feel so lucky.”

 

Paloma is set to release her fourth studio album The Architect in November.
