Actress Eva Longoria has taken to Snapchat to deny she is pregnant, after photos of her looking ‘fat’ prompted pregnancy rumours online.
The former Desperate Housewives actress was enjoying her holidays when she was ‘called by her family’ and asked if she was pregnant.
In a series of lighthearted videos, 42-year-old Longoria told her fans that she was living it up with cheese and wine in Hawaii.
“So, I saw some pictures of myself really fat on a boat. I have to tell you, all I did was eat cheese. I ate cheese!”
She’s been posting pictures of her enviable trip online, which includes wine, cheese and pancakes.
She’s been doing everything from jumping in waterfalls in Oahu one day, then jumping on a paddleboard in Maui on another, but was snapped back to reality by online rumours: “Everybody’s saying I’m pregnant and I’m not. I was just lactose intolerant, apparently.”
She laughed off the ridiculous scrutiny, saying: ““But seriously, I looked so fat, but you know what? That happens to people, everybody gets bloated.”
Longoria is in Hawaii with her husband Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston for his 49th birthday celebrations.
Longoria and Baston got married last May. Longoria was previously married to actor Tyler Christopher and later, NBA player Tony Parker in 2011.
"When Pepe and I met, I said I didn't ever want to get married again," she explained last year. "He said, 'Great, me neither.' And here we are!"
Unlike her character Gabrielle Solis in the much-loved Desperate Housewives, Eva has no chidren. She’s previously ruled out having kids but said she loves being a stepmom to Baston’s children from a previous marriage- daughter Tali, 21, and twins Jose and Mariana, 13.
."They are amazing children - I’m so happy to be part of their lives," she told E! News last year.
As for someday having her own children? The philanthropic actress hasn’t completely ruled it out.
"If it’s meant to be, it would be a blessing," she said.
