Ellie Kemper announced back in April that she was expecting her first child with her husband, Michael Koman and it seems she’s embracing everything about pregnancy except one thing.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star just cannot get used to people touching her growing belly.

Speaking on the Today Sunday show, the actress said:

“Now I’m showing and I don’t know what goes through a person’s mind – a stranger’s mind no less – when they think of yes, your stomach is something that now belongs to me and I can touch it.

“It’s actually crazy.”

Ellie has tried to find the positive however continuing:

“In a way, I think it’s a nice reminder of humanity, but then I quickly go back to the idea that you wouldn’t do this if I wasn’t pregnant.”

And it started long before Ellie even began to show.

“It was just odd. I’m not a very touchy feely comfortable person so with someone touching me, I’m like ahh personal space violation.

“It was like touching my digestion. There was nothing quite there.”

Ellie made the big announcement on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon where she admitted to telling her boss, Tina Fey before she told her mum.

Ellie is now nearing her due date and it all became very real for The Office actress when she felt her baby kick.

"When you start feeling the baby kick, you realise there's a person inside and that pregnancy is very different from having a person you're responsible for, for the rest of your life.

"I don't know what I'm doing, but then I have to remind myself no parent does, right?"
