Jacqueline Jossa has been very open about the fact that this pregnancy is proving more taxing than when she was expecting her first child, three-year-old Ella.

She and husband Dan Osborne, whose relationship has taken a rocky turn, are getting ready to welcome their second child together in the coming weeks.

The soap star says she was 'very sick' for the first three months of this pregnancy, but that the guidance of her midwife has been invaluable in helping her feel better.

However, recently she endured an even more harrowing incident.

"I recently couldn't feel the baby move, which was so scary," the 25-year-old told the Belfast Telegraph.

Thankfully, once more her midwife was there to offer support.

"It was wonderful to get reassurance that everything was fine from the midwife," the former EastEnders actress shared. Her worries partially stemmed from her family's past experience with loss.

"My mum sadly lost two babies through cot death before I was born," the mum said, "Although there's no apparent hereditary link, it does make you a bit more nervous - but again, the midwives have been reassuring."

Times have been stressful enough lately for Jacqueline, especially considering reports that she and former TOWIE star Dan have split.

They married in June 2017, and the expectant mother is optimistic that they will remain strong as a family.

"These things happen - marriages have ups and downs and mine's no different," she said, "He'll be at the birth, of course. He's an amazing dad."

Just over a week ago Dan broke his silence on the split, telling the Daily Star, "I still obviously care for Jacqueline but if we can’t make each other happy then we shouldn’t stay together. Life is too short.”

He likewise emphasised that their children come first amidst their relationship turmoil.

"I will move back to help before the birth and with the baby, but I don’t know after that. The main priority is the kids," the 26-year-old explained.

As for how she's dealt with the stress of all this in the past few months, Jacqueline revealed that she's fairly thick-skinned to begin with. As well, she says that being pregnant actually helps her keep calm and carry on.

The soap actress sagely told the Belfast Telegraph, "Being pregnant helps, because you have a new lease of life - you're doing everything for your baby.

"Life's about doing the best for your children."
