Joe Swash has opened up about his parenting style!
The former EastEnders actor married his partner Stacey Solomon in July of last year, and the couple have a blended family of six children together.
After blossoming their romance in 2016, the couple joined their families together with Joe’s son Harry (16), as well as Stacey’s two sons Zachary (15) and Leighton (11).
In 2019, Joe and Stacey became parents together for the first time with the birth of son Rex (4), and they have since gone on to welcome one-year-old Rose and baby Belle, who was born in February.
Now, to mark the release of his new documentary Joe Swash: Teens In Care, Joe has been spilling a few details about his home life with Stacey.
In a recent interview with OK!, the 41-year-old was asked what his go-to parenting style is.
“I would say my parenting style is a little bit chaotic,” he teased in response.
“Stacey will say to me that I never follow through with my rules. Someone will do something and I’ll have to tell them off, and then I feel guilty so I’ll go back five minutes later and give them a cuddle and a bit of chocolate when she’s not looking. So I’d say I’m the fun parent,” he laughed.
In his interview, Joe then went on to confess that his wife dislikes being the ‘bad cop’.
“Stacey doesn’t like it but she has to be the bad one. Someone’s got to do it,” the I’m A Celeb star joked.
“She’s forever telling me, ‘I’m always the bad one!’ But there’s always got to be a bad one and I can’t do it!” he added.
After revealing last month that the couple would never rule out fostering a child in the future, Joe shared some further thoughts on the matter.
“It’s something me and Stacey have talked about and will consider. We’re thinking when our kids get older, and the last ones are at secondary school – maybe then, we’ll try to foster ourselves,” he confirmed.
