A OB/GYN in Venezuela has shared a number videos of a baby being born through a gentle C-section, and they are too amazing for words.

There’s is actually a reason why the doctor in question performed a gentle C-section, and it goes beyond proving just how amazing a woman's body truly is.

Typically, during a C-section, the expectant mum is flat on her back, strapped to an operating table with screen raised above her waist so they don't have to see the operation.

Some mothers ask to witness the moment of birth, and can ask a nurse to lower the screen slightly so you can see the baby coming out - this is classed as a gentle C-section.

After the delivery process, if the baby is healthy, the new mum may even get a chance to see her new arrival before they are whisked away for paediatric care.

While a baby is still in the womb, their lungs are filled with amniotic fluid, but when a woman goes into labour, the baby’s body will start to release chemicals that will help get the fluid out of their lungs.

However, in some cases, there is still a little bit of fluid that doesn’t quite make it out of the baby’s lungs, causing a condition known as transient tachypnea of the newborn.

It’s typically not dangerous and usually resolves in one to three days, but still, no one wants to see their newborn with difficulty breathing.

This particular gentle C-section may be breathtaking, but letting the baby squeeze his way into the world mimics the trip through the birth canal and helps them get rid of any fluid still in their lungs.

The video, which was posted earlier in the week, has already been viewed over 13,000 times - with hundreds of people commenting on how amazing it is.

We have already watched this about 45 times, and are still in awe.
