Mums, we are only too aware that Christmas dinner is the biggest and most anticipated meal of the year (trust us, we’ll be slaving away with you all), and we know that you’re either going to love or hate the following news.

Thanks to optimal conditions during 2015, you will now be able to purchase ‘monster’ Brussels sprouts - reportedly bigger than golf balls - for your festive feast.

If you and yours love sprouts, this is great news; if not, you’re probably gagging right now as you read. Either way, one thing’s for sure: these monster sprouts mean that Christmas dinner this year will be the biggest yet!

According to farmers around the UK, the mixture of summer sun and rain (by the bucket-load, of course) plus a mild autumn created top conditions for growing the biggest sprouts to go with your turkey.

For those who are already licking their lips in anticipation but are worried about the extra fuss that these monsters will require, experts have suggested that cutting them in half may aid the cooking process.

Well, now that you have digested all of that information, will you be purchasing some monster sprouts for the celebrations on the 25th?
