One woman who can absolutely relate is Ann Pinto Carney, whose tongue-in-cheek video message to her son has gone viral this week.
After heading off to college, it would seem that Liam got a little complacent when it came to showing his care and gratitude to his parents – but Ann is not about to let it slide.
Ann begins her message by giving Liam a gentle reminder as to who she is, saying: “Do you remember me? I’m your mommy! I gave birth to you!”
In what is one of the funniest rants we have ever seen, Ann goes on to guilt Liam by regaling him with details of her C-section with him, and her memories of carrying him on her hip, driving him to karate class and paying for his education.
Deciding that the only logical explanation for his lack of contact is his inability to use the phone, Ann then goes on to school him in how to make a call.
