As most mamas-to-be will no doubt agree with, it's not easy to forget that you're pregnant.

The fact that you probably can't see your feet or you've been feeling dodgy every morning for the past 10 weeks certainly helps you remember.

However, this mum was so excited for one particular thing that she full on forgot that she was expecting.

Taking to the Baby Bump section of Reddit, user Dawndollygolden recalled a time she went into Subway to get herself a sandwich.

Sharing the conversation she had with a fellow customer, she wrote:

"At Subway (a sandwich shop in America for international readers) today...

"Random customer behind me: You must be so excited!

"Me (thinking - is it really that obvious? I mean, I freaking love Subway, but I had no idea it was that clear) : Yea, well I really love these sandwiches!

"Customer: It looks like you won't have to wait much longer.

"Me: Thank goodness, I'm really hungry.

"Customer (now starting to give me a weird look) : Do you know what you're having?

"Me: Probably just a toasted ham and cheese.

"Customer: Oh... no, I was talking about the baby.

"Ohhhhhh- the BABY. Yes, the baby. (Now reread the conversation knowing the context and cringe with me.) Sometimes when I'm really hungry I forget that I'm pregnant and think the entire world is also as obsessed with food as I am."

Today I was [unintentionally] more excited about a sandwich than my soon-to-be newborn. from r/BabyBumps

But a quick look through the comments, and it's clear that this mum-to-be is not on her own!

"I am excited about my baby, but I would say I am more frequently excited about the prospect of food," wrote one.

Another said: "I am right there with you. How can other people not be obsessed with food, it's the best!"
