Prepare to be in awe, mums, as we share one of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful maternity shoots we have ever laid eyes on.
People in the States caught some truly stunning images from Monday’s eclipse, but we reckon that mum-to-be Nichole Carver’s are, hands down, the greatest.
Nichole is currently 33 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, and with the once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon taking place this week, she decided to mark his impending arrival in a special way.
Luckily for the Georgia native, her mother-in-law, Lisa Cruikshank, is a the genius behind Still Pearl Photography – and she was only too happy to bring Nichole’s fantasy to life.
So, as the moon temporarily blocked out the sun on Monday afternoon, Nichole took up position while Lisa got her camera ready.
Dressed in a flowing blue gown that put her bump on display, Nichole cradled her belly as she posed for photos – against the most stunning backdrop imaginable.
While the photos will be sentimental enough in themselves, there is an extra-special meaning behind them.
You see, three years ago, Nichole and her partner lost a baby girl.
Nichole told Fox 5: “This is our last planned pregnancy, as we have experienced the joys of birthing two healthy children – and the sadness of loss after delivering my second child, a little girl named Emma, stillborn back in 2014.
“Our little boy is nothing short of a miracle to us, and what better way to celebrate him than capturing this once-in-a-lifetime moment in time?”
Nichole went on to describe the photos as ‘out of this world’ – we have to say, we absolutely agree with her on that front.
We’re wishing Nichole all the best with the rest of her pregnancy – what a story she will have to tell her baby boy when he is older!
